Florence (Malmstedt) Arbique

July 21, 1933 ~ March 2, 2025 (age 91)

Peacefully passed away surrounded by the love of her family at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Sunday March 2, 2025, at the age of 91 years.

Florence graduated from St. Mary’s Timmins Hospital as a Registered Nurse, where she began her 33-year career as an RN. Timmins is where she met the love of her life, Leo Arbique and they were married in 1957.

Florence is the loving mother to Heather Desrosiers (Terry Bruce), and Gerald Arbique. She was the cherished Nanny to Mathieu (Allyson), Daniel, and great-grandmother to Leo. Florence is predeceased by her husband Leo (2016), her siblings Betty Conley (late Jim), Alice Lockrey (late Frank), Gladys Slack, Orville Malmstedt, George Malmstedt, and Lorna Suominen (John), as well as her parents Gunnar Malmstedt and Mary (nee Randle) Malmstedt.

As per Florence’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and a private family celebration of life will occur at a later date.
