Acting Deputy Chief Named by City Police

The North Bay Police Service Board has appointed Inspector Jeff Warner to the position of Acting Deputy Chief effective June 2, 2025. Acting D/Chief Warner has been a member of the North Bay Police Service for the past 28 years and has resided in North Bay for approximately 35 years. He has served in Patrol Operations, Criminal Investigations and was a member of the Emergency Response Team for 10 years. Most recently, he has served as an Inspector overseeing all Patrol Operations and Emergency Response.
Police Service Board Chair Rich Stivrins said, “I am confident that Acting Deputy Chief Warner will be a tremendous support to Chief Longworth and the rest of the organization in this role”.
Chief Longworth said, “Inspector Warner is a well-respected member of this organization. Having worked with him over the past year on a number of projects, I have come to appreciate the many strengths that he brings to the table. I look forward to working with him as we continue to look towards continuous improvement as a police service and in serving the community”.
Inspector Warner said, “I want to thank the Police Services Board and Chief Longworth for having the confidence in me to take on the acting role of Deputy Chief. I look forward to continuing our efforts in moving forward as a progressive and responsive police service and providing ongoing support to our members for the hard work they do on a daily basis”.
