Annual PADDLE program fundraiser on the water Friday
Several local residents and businesses will be ‘Up the Creek Without a PADDLE’ on Trout Lake on Friday.
The 16th annual fundraiser supports the PADDLE Program, Providing Adults with Developmental Disabilities Lifelong Experiences.
People will be stranded in a dragon boat off Olmsted Beach with no way back to shore, unless they can raise funds to ‘purchase a paddle’.
The event’s goal is to raise $75,000.
Programming at the education and wellness centre is dedicated to empowering adults with complex developmental disabilities by providing educational, social, and community engagement opportunities.
Friday’s event begins at 1 pm.
