Area job postings up nearly 59% month-over-month in January
Figures associated with job postings in Nipissing rebounded in January.
That from the Labour Market Group, which says there were 542 job postings recorded that month.
Officials say it’s a significant month-over-month increase of nearly 59% compared to December.
Year-over-year, the increase was 7.5%.
The number of employers posting jobs also bounced back with a 35.5% increase compared to December.
68 job postings at the North Bay Regional Health Centre led the way, followed by 21 at Ontario Northland and 20 at Voyageur Aviation.
The top industry was Health Care & Social Assistance with 31% of all job postings in January.
