Battalion signs Hodgson
The North Bay Battalion has signed centre Kam Hodgson to an education and development agreement, the Ontario Hockey League club announced Saturday.
Hodgson, a resident of Midhurst, Ont., was a sixth-round pick in the 2024 OHL Priority Selection from the Culver Military Academy 16U team of Culver, Ind.
He has 29 goals and 21 assists for 50 points in 48 games with the Culver Prep team in 2025-26 after amassing 64 goals and 51 assists for 115 points in 90 games with the 16U squad in the previous two seasons.

A right shot who measures five-foot-11 and 168 pounds, Hodgson turns 18 on April 2.
“Adding a player of his calibre is a big step forward for us,” said general manager John Winstanley. “He brings skill, character and a real competitive edge that aligns with what we’re building here. Kam has a proven ability to put the puck in the net and generate offence in key moments.”
Hodgson said he is “truly grateful for the opportunity to sign with the North Bay Battalion.”
“I want to thank God, my family and my coaches for their constant support and for pushing me to be better every day, both on and off the ice.
“I’m also thankful for the entire North Bay organization for giving me this opportunity and welcoming me into the program. It’s an honour to be part of the Battalion, and I’m ready to get to work and do whatever it takes to help the team succeed.”
Hodgson, who played one exhibition game with the Troops last August, is to join the club next season.
