BOYD, Mary

BOYD, Mary

Mary Boyd, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away on September 6/2025 at the age of 53 after a long courageous battle with heart disease.

Born in Toronto, Mary was full of life from the very beginning. She spent her younger years working in local coffee shops, where she met Randy Dobbin and together they built a family. In her retirement, she found peace and joy in Northern Ontario — boating, traveling, and spending time by the water with her dog, Marstee, and loved ones.

Known for her strength, humor, and down-to-earth nature, Mary had a way of making everyone feel welcome. Whether it was music playing at a gathering, a fun day at the beach, or a spontaneous adventure, she created moments that people never forgot. Even as her health declined, her toughness and fun-loving spirit never faded.

She will be remembered as a devoted mother who was also a best friend, someone who lived fully, loved deeply, and left an unforgettable mark on all who knew her.

Mary is survived by her son, Axl, and the grandchild soon to be welcomed into the world, carried with love by his partner, Elizabeth. She is also survived by her loving siblings, Margaret (joe van Overbeek) and William, and by her cherished nieces and nephews — Josiah, Megan, Bronwyn, Annemarie, Johnny and Joanie may — who will carry forward her love of laughter, music, and togetherness.

A celebration of life will be held at McGuinty Funeral Home / North Bay Ontario from 11am-1pm Monday September 15th 2025, Friends and family are invited to attend and share memories in her honour.

Her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who loved her, and in the memories of laughter, peace and joy she brought into the world.
