Calvin Township terminates state of emergency

By Richard Coffin

The state of emergency has ended in Calvin Township.

On Wednesday afternoon, Mayor Richard Gould terminated the order, which was put in place after the severe storm on June 21.

All of the roads in the township were compromised by washouts, downed trees and power lines after the storm.

As of Wednesday, officials say most roads have been repaired but continue to ask drivers to use caution in areas where reconstruction work is ongoing.
