Canadore College is proud to announce a strong group of Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) award winners from the 2025-26 season, recognizing excellence across both men’s and women’s volleyball programs.

Leading the way is Sean Malherbe, who delivered one of the most dominant seasons in the OCAA. Malherbe was named the OCAA East Player of the Year, earned OCAA East First Team All-Star honours, and finished as the OCAA East Scoring Champion.

Malherbe’s impact was also recognized nationally, as he was selected as a CCAA All-Canadian.

Malherbe’s season was defined by consistency and production, finishing with 196 kills (3.50 per set) while hitting an efficient .320, adding 16 service aces, and contributing defensively with 79 digs and 26 total blocks.

Canadore also saw major recognition at the net with Khaled Bryant, who was named an OCAA East First Team All-Star. Bryant was one of the most efficient attackers in the conference, posting a .404 hitting percentage (7th in the OCAA), while also ranking among the league’s best blockers with 40 total blocks and 0.70 blocks per set (4th in the OCAA).

The Panthers’ next wave of talent was highlighted by Mason Begg, who earned a spot on the OCAA East All-Rookie Team after an outstanding first season. Begg finished with 154 kills (2.61 per set) and was one of the most complete players in the conference, ranking among the OCAA leaders with 120 digs and 2.03 digs per set.
