Casino hosting payments to North Bay surpass $5.2 million
You can add another $439,387 to the city’s coffers.
Ontario Lottery and Gaming says that’s how much North Bay received as its first quarter payment (April 1 to June 30) this fiscal year for hosting Cascades Casino.
“OLG is a strong partner that provides substantial benefits to North Bay,” says Vic Fedeli, Nipissing MPP. “In addition to creating jobs at Cascades Casino North Bay, important investments in North Bay’s public services are made possible through OLG’s sharing of casino revenue.”
Since the casino opened in March 2022, the city has received over $5.2 million.
The money is used as a funding source for community capital projects.
