Charges Laid - Carrying a Concealed Weapon and Pointing a Firearm

The North Bay Police Service has arrested and charged a local man in connection with a weapons-related incident.
On July 10, 2025, the North Bay Police Service responded to a report involving threats and a firearm. An investigation led to the identification and arrest of the accused. At the time of the arrest, the accused was found to be in violation of multiple court-imposed conditions.
Derby Turner, 26, of North Bay, has been charged with the following offences:
- Assault with a Weapon
- Uttering Threats – Cause Death or Bodily Harm
- Use of Firearm in the Commission of an Offence
- Pointing a Firearm
- Carrying a Concealed Weapon
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
- Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order
- Breach of Firearms Prohibition Order
