Dangerous Motorcycle Driving in Multiple Neighbourhoods Leads to Two Arrests

The North Bay Police Service (NBPS) has arrested an 18-year-old and 15-year-old after a dangerous driving investigation involving two motorcycles.

On June 14, 2026, at approximately 9:30 p.m., the NBPS received multiple reports of two motorcycles being operated in a dangerous manner. The motorcycles were reported to be travelling at high speeds, creating excessive noise, and driving through trails and parks before continuing along Lakeside Drive, Sage Road, Trout Lake Road and Ski Club Road area residential neighbourhoods.

NBPS Patrol Section located the motorcycles and attempted to conduct a traffic stop; however, both riders fled from police. Through continued investigation, the accused EISSES was later located and arrested at a residence in the Birch Haven area. The co-accused young person was located and arrested on Trout Lake Road.

The accused, Amos EISSES, 18-year-old, male of South River, has been charged with:

  • Dangerous Operation
  • Flight from a Peace Officer
  • Operate a Motor Vehicle Without Insurance
  • Drive Motor Vehicle, No Permit
  • Drive Without a Proper Headlight – Motorcycle
  • Drive Without a Proper Rear Light - Motorcycle
  • Unnecessary Noise
  • Drive Motor Vehicle – Improper Licence
  • Drive Motor Vehicle – No Plates

The co-accused, young person, 15-year-old, of North Bay, has been charged with:

  • Two Counts of Dangerous Operation
  • Flight from Peace Officer

"The risks associated with aggressive driving extend far beyond traffic violations. The behaviour reported in this case created unnecessary danger in multiple neighbourhoods throughout the city, placing the young drivers, responding officers, and the public at risk,” said Insp. McFarlane. “The consequences could have been devastating. Patrol officers handled the situation responsibly and with public safety at the forefront. Their efforts resulted in the safe arrest of the two drivers and helped prevent further risk to our community."

The accused and co-accused were arrested and released on Undertakings with a future court date.
