DECICCIO, Scott

We are heartbroken to share that Scott Andrew DeCiccio passed away on Monday, July 28, 2025, at the North Bay Regional Hospital. He was 51 years old.
Scott was born in Toronto to the late John “Chip” and Lynda DeCiccio (nee Bradley). Our Sunshine.
Scott worked many years at various Canadian Tire stores in Southern Ontario. He started out in hardware and sports as a teen and later held Manager and Director positions in auto service.
He was an avid sports enthusiast! Scott played hockey from 5 years old, and his teenage years spent on the AAA hockey teams across the GTA were some of his fondest memories. His passion for hockey spilled over as he cheered for the Toronto Maple Leafs and the North Bay Battalions. Scott also enjoyed playing and watching football and golf. He never missed watching the Olympic Games.
Scott absolutely loved the outdoors and spent many days camping, fishing, and boating. Family staycations at Rabbit Lake, Georgian Bay and Lake Me-Me-Sagamesing were some of his favourites.
Scott loved every genre of movies. He could name every actor, recite lines, and give you a review. He was quite a critic!
His determination was evident but even more so in recent years with many health challenges that he faced. He gained independence and he gave sledge hockey a try when he first returned to live in North Bay. He found joy coaching with the U16 North Bay Bulldogs Football Club. Huge thanks to the club for your warm welcome, support and encouragement.
Scott is survived by his children Gillian (Andrew) and Luca, and granddaughter Addeline, his sister Keri (Vaylon), niece Alyvia and nephew Brycen, close friends Richard Brereton, Ash Ajmani and Cecille Gooding as well as numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
We will forever cherish the love and laughter that he brought us. There was never a dull moment with Scott. He always “did it my way” per Frank Sinatra, which was one of his favourite songs. But – more often than not it became a team effort when things went sideways!
A Celebration of Life honoring Scott will be held at a later date.
Thank you to the staff at the North Bay Regional Hospital, especially the D3 Unit and the CCU teams.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Coach Scott DeCiccio Memorial Fund with the North Bay Bulldogs Football Club. The memorial fund is for the area youth who may need financial assistance for player fees, equipment, and travel costs – because every kid deserves to play. Contributions will be received via e-transfer at support@northbaybulldogs.com . Arrangements entrusted to Martyn Funeral Home.
~ forever and ever in our hearts ~
