Dinner theatre event helps celebrate Black History Month
The community is being invited to a dinner theatre event celebrating Black History Month.

Wednesday’s event is being presented by École secondaire catholique Algonquin, Conseil scolaire catholique Franco-Nord and Théâtre CanAfrique.
Along with a traditional African dinner, prepared by Réseau des familles immigrantes francophones du Nipissing, there are theatrical, percussion, dance and musical performances, and an art exhibition entitled “Under the African Baobab Tree”.
“We look forward to welcoming you to an evening that celebrates the heritage, contributions, and creativity of Black communities, a celebration that reflects the values of inclusion and diversity that guide École secondaire catholique Algonquin,” says Sophie Chrétien, Principal of Algonquin.
The event starts at 5:40 pm on Wednesday with tickets $5 each.
