Drinking water advisory lifted in Verner

The drinking water advisory in place in Verner since Sunday has been lifted.

The municipality says water quality has been confirmed to meet all regulatory standards, and the system is safe for regular consumption and use.

Officials say before returning to normal water use, residents are asked to run both hot and cold water taps for at least 5 minutes and flush appliances and devices that use water, according to the manufacturer instructions.

The municipality says the advisory was put in place after an unplanned issue temporarily interrupted operations at the Verner water plant on Sunday, July 27, leaving households without water service.
