Floral-themed artwork needed for palliative care fundraiser

By Richard Coffin

The Near North Palliative Care Network (NNPCN) is putting out the call for artists to get involved with a new spring fundraiser.

The local non-profit organization provides free palliative, bereavement, and senior support services across the area.

They’re hosting an online art auction, titled ‘April Showers Bring May Flowers’ that celebrates creativity, hope, and community compassion.

Local artists of all experience levels are invited to create floral-themed artwork that will be featured in a curated online gallery.

All proceeds supporting the network’s free programs for individuals and families facing illness, loss, and grief.

“At NNPCN, we’ve seen how creativity can turn grief into connection,” says Lauralea Eldridge, Communications & Public Relations Coordinator. “When words aren’t enough, art helps people find meaning, comfort, and the courage to heal together. April Showers Bring May Flowers is about bringing people together through creativity and compassion.”

Artists interested in participating are encouraged to submit their interest by Feb. 20.
