Government economic policies among key topics at Anishinabek Nation forum

Empower, Evoke, and Evolve.
That’s the theme of the third annual Anishinabek Nation Economic Development Opportunities Forum.
The event is taking place in Orillia, and being streamed on YouTube, with the Anishinabek Nation welcoming its member First Nations citizens and representatives, industry leaders, and government officials.
Along with access to capital, franchising, and mining, key topics include Bill 5, the Protect Ontario by Unleashing our Economy Act, 2025, and Bill C-5, the One Canadian Economy Act.
Both government bills received royal assent in June.
The forum will feature panels, workshops, and more.
Keynote speakers include Anishinabek Nation Grand Council Chief Linda Debassige.
