Holidays at the Hospital initiative underway

There’s still time to get involved in the Holidays at the Hospital initiative.

Officials say the gift-giving program helps spread joy to long-term patients at the North Bay Regional Health Centre (NBRHC).

The NBRHC Foundation invites people to choose a gift tag from one of their specially decorated Giving Trees, purchase the requested gift and drop it off at the foundation by Friday, Dec. 5.

“Make this holiday season meaningful for those spending it in the hospital, your kindness can make a world of difference,” states a release.

Along with monetary donations, people can also donate new clothing for the Patient Clothing Cupboard.

Officials say it provides new clothing to patients who arrive in crisis or need something to wear to be discharged with dignity.
