Detective Constable Carleton from the NBPS Internet Child Exploitation Unit will lead the session, providing insights on trends in virtual crime, safe online practices, and the foundational risks that children and youth face in today’s digital environment. Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions and engage in discussions about internet safety.

“A recent presentation to Scollard Hall, hosted by the Parent Council, was followed by a large number of community requests for more information,” said D/Cst. Carleton. “Our goal is to keep our local children and youth safe by providing caregivers with the information they need. We are seeing a sharp increase in crimes related to online enticement, and it’s a conversation we need to have as a community.”

This event is free and open to the public. Interested participants are asked to register online to confirm their spot.
