Jack Garland Airport showcasing growing role in advanced aviation training
The North Bay Jack Garland Airport will see increased aircraft activity over the coming months as routine daytime training flights support ongoing airport operations.
Officials say it highlights North Bay’s expanding role in advanced aviation and defence training.
“North Bay Jack Garland Airport continues to demonstrate the capability and professionalism to support a wide range of aviation activity,” says Bryan Avery, Airport Manager. “We’re proud to host this type of training in a safe, coordinated way, and it speaks to the airport’s strength as a platform and desired location for specialized flight operations.”

Officials say the activity supports the International Tactical Training Centre (ITTC), a division of International Test Pilots School (ITPS) Canada, as part of its ongoing training schedule and operational development in North Bay.
“North Bay offers a unique combination of airspace, infrastructure, and community support,” says Dave Lohse, CEO, ITTC/ITPS Canada. “We’re grateful to be working with the airport team and local partners as we continue to grow our presence and contribute to the region’s aviation ecosystem.”
