Jackie Messer

Peacefully passed away surrounded by the love of her family at Nipissing Manor (Corbeil) on Saturday August 2, 2025, at the age of 76 years.

Jackie was the beloved life friend of Louis Seguin, and the loving mother to Dr. John Seguin (Michelle), Kimberly McLellan (Kenny) and second mother to Paul Burey.  She was the cherished grandmother of Amelia (Tyler), Nathan, Maleah (Dan), Tait (Vendela), Finn (Aurora), and Kobe. Sadly, her dementia did not allow her to know her four great grandchildren (Grace, Elwood, Maisie, and Morgan) who she would have adored.

She will be lovingly remembered by her siblings Isabel Dagg, Fran Lapinski (Dave), and Rochelle Dangerfield (John). Jackie is predeceased by her parents John and Gabrielle (nee Belanger) Tait.

As per Jackie’s wishes, cremation has taken place, there will not be a service. If desired, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be gratefully acknowledged by her family.

A special thanks to Dr Ng and the amazing staff at Nipissing Manor. The kindness and support they provided to Jackie (and her family) while she battled a horrible disease will never be forgotten.
