Lefebvre, Brian “Porcher” David
It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Brian “Porcher” Lefebvre at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Monday, March 30, 2026.
Brian lived a difficult life and faced many challenges with mental illness and addiction, but through it all, he remained deeply loved and will be fondly remembered by his family.
He will be forever missed by his daughter, Breanna, whom he lovingly called “buncrut.” Dear brother of Kim Vaillancourt-Sutton (Wayne), Cliff Brindle (Barb), Greg Nickerson, John Prest, and Steven Lefebvre (Shannon). Predeceased by his beloved parents, Carl Lefebvre and Mamie Lefebvre (née Brindle). Brian will also be missed by his many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Brian felt a strong connection to his Indigenous roots and found peace in the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He was known for his sense of humour, always smiling, joking, and bringing laughter wherever he went. He loved to dance and have a good time—so much so that “The Carlton” was always requested when Brian was around. He also had a love for sports, especially hockey, basketball, and baseball.
Cremation has taken place.
Friends are welcome to join the family for a Celebration of Life at the Madadjiwan Economic Development Office, 318 Main Street, Mattawa, on Tuesday, April 7th from 2- 4 p.m. A donation to the Canadian Mental Health Association would be appreciated by the family.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to Martyn Funeral Home.
