Local chamber celebrated nationally
The North Bay and District Chamber of Commerce is growing.
In fact, the business group has been tabbed as the second fasting growing mid-sized chamber in Canada.
The Chamber of Commerce Executives of Canada (CCEC) has released its second annual ranking of Canada’s fastest growing Chambers, celebrating the remarkable success, resilience, and growing impact of Chambers of Commerce across the country.

The rankings are organized across four categories based on membership size, with 156 business groups across the country completing the survey.
“Congratulations to the Chambers leading the way in membership growth across Canada,” said Acacia Pangilinan, President of CCEC and Executive Director of both the Kamloops & District Chamber of Commerce, and the Merritt & District Chamber of Commerce. “As Chambers grow, they bring more Canadians together to strengthen local economies and create better conditions for business success. Our ranking celebrates the leadership, innovation and commitment driving Chambers across Canada.”
Only Sarnia-Lambton’s chamber tops North Bay in the category for between 350 and 699 members.
