MICHAUD, DIANE

With heavy hearts, the Michaud family announces the sudden passing of Diane Michaud (née Minor), aged 69, on December 30, 2025, at Health Sciences North. Born July 20, 1956, Diane lived a life grounded in love, family, and quiet joy.

Diane was the cherished wife of Robert; loving mother to Jennifer (Brandon) and Kassandra (Erik); and devoted Mémère to Abigail, Caleb, Xander, Addison, Wyatt, and Asher.

She was predeceased by her parents, René and Roselle; her brother, Robert; and her sister, Lena. She is survived by her sister, Elizabeth (Marc), and her brother, Brian.

Always a fan of playing card games with her family, Diane loved little more than a warm summer breeze on the back deck, surrounded by those she loved and her dog, Rosie.

Her six grandchildren were the joy of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Her cheeky smile and gentle sense of humour were contagious, and her calm, steady presence was a constant comfort to all who knew and loved her.

The family will receive visitors at Martyn & Sloan Mattawa Chapel on January 31st from 1 pm - 4 pm. A celebration of Diane’s life will be held in the spring; details will be shared at a later date.
