Monster trucks in the city for Father’s Day
Canada’s biggest Monster Truck tour returns to North Bay this Father’s Day.
Monster Spectacular roars into Boart Longyear Memorial Gardens at 3 pm on Sunday.

Officials say the action-packed, sports and entertainment spectacle features jaw-dropping stunts, side-by-side racing, high-flying freestyle competitions, and unique wheelie contests.

They say for Father’s Day, there’s also a fun father-son showdown with Hall of Famer Mike Vaters (Black Stallion) going head‑to‑head with his son, tour champion Mike Vaters Jr. (Overkill Evolution).
The event also includes super modified lawn mower races, a Motorcross backflip, and a Freestyle BMX performance by Pure BMX and three-time X-Games champion and Canadian Mike Varga.
“The Monster Spectacular Pit Party provides fans with a unique opportunity to go down to the floor and see the massive, 12,000-pound trucks up close, meet the drivers, get autographs and take pictures,” states a release. “The Pit Party is at 1:30pm, and Pit Party passes can be purchased on site at the merch stand.”
Tickets are on sale and available at battalionhockey.com or in person at the Boart Longyear Memorial Gardens Box Office.
