NBPS seeking ‘armed and dangerous’ suspect in robbery investigation

The North Bay Police Service is looking to the public for help in identifying and locating a suspect in an armed robbery investigation.
City police say shortly before midnight yesterday (Sept. 17), officers responded to a report that a suspect approached a driver, pointed what’s believed to be a firearm and demanded their vehicle at a gas station in the 1000 block of Algonquin Avenue.
Police say the victim and suspect were not known to each other.
The vehicle is described as a grey 2009 Acura CSX 2.0, bearing Ontario licence plate DKCS 234. It was last seen travelling northbound in the 400 block of Lakeshore Drive.
The suspect is described as a young male with shaggy hair and swooped bangs. He was wearing a black hoodie with white designs on the arms, a green backpack, grey pants and black and white shoes.
The suspect is considered armed and dangerous. Members of the public should not approach the suspect or the vehicle. Call 911 immediately if you see either.
Investigators are asking anyone who may have information about the incident, or who may have video surveillance or dashcam footage from the area during this timeframe, to contact the NBPS at 705-472-1234.
