Nearly two dozen groups receiving community foundation funding
The North Bay Community Foundation is supporting 23 groups this year with grant funding.

Officials say nearly $158,000 in grants are helping sustain charitable projects impacting our community.
“Our Annual Community Grants stream provides charities and nonprofits in North Bay and Area the opportunity to fill gaps in funding needed to support new and ongoing charitable activities that otherwise may be at risk,” says Preston Tapscott, Executive Director. “We are proud to announce $158,000 in grants through this year’s stream, with an additional minimum of $42,000 going out through other granting streams, funds, and commitments. This is thanks to the dedicated support of our donors, fundholders, partners, and sponsors who uplift our capacity to grant.”

Funding will support a variety of projects and initiatives.
Some include program support to tackle food insecurity, a secondary school mental wellness space, theatre production equipment upgrades, and much more.
