New sidewalks coming this week to a stretch of Jane Street
Sidewalk replacement work is taking place on Jane Street between Durrill and Bloem streets this week, with the road closed during the day.
The city says traffic will be managed in stages.
From 7 am to 9 am, one lane will remain open to accommodate morning traffic, before the entire road is closed until 2:45 pm.

From 2:45 pm to 4 pm, one lane will reopen for afternoon traffic flow, then close again between 4-7 pm, if needed.
Local access for residents will be maintained throughout the project.
Asphalt repairs will follow the sidewalk replacement work.
Drivers and pedestrians are asked to use caution in the area and follow all posted signage.
A couple other city projects are also taking place this week.
The city says rock scaling work on Cassells St. will see the inbound curb lane and sidewalk across from Victoria St be closed for three days.
Officials say it’s being done to improve slope stability and safety.
Meantime, traffic on Four Mile Lake Rd. between Springdale and Stanley’s Road will be reduced to one lane this week for a culvert replacement.
The city says one lane will remain open at all times, but delays are expected.
