This year’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Charity Golf Tournament raised more than $65,000 for the North Bay Regional Health Centre (NBRHC).

The event was held on Sunday at Osprey Links Golf Course in Callander.

Officials say proceeds this year are supporting a Central Monitoring Upgrade project.

Along with expanding monitoring capacity across numerous care areas, including the NICU, they say the project will reduce system downtime and support proactive patient care.

“Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, golfers and volunteers, the NICU Charity Golf Tournament presented by North Bay Mazda is making a lasting difference,” says Geoff and Tracy Richardson, tournament Co-Chairs. “Every dollar raised helps ensure our NICU is equipped with the tools and technology needed to give newborns the strongest start possible right here at home.”

Tammy Morison, President & CEO of the NBRHC Foundation, says this year’s tournament featured a ‘double impact’.

“Proceeds were matched dollar-for-dollar by a humble community donor who has been connected to our Hospital, NBRHC Foundation and the tournament, for many years,” she says.
