Nipissing hosting Three Minute Thesis Competition and Research Conference
You could say it’s like speed dating, but with research.
The Three Minute Thesis Competition takes place Thursday at Nipissing University.
The challenge is for graduate students to present complex research material in an engaging, compelling way, using only one slide and within three minutes.

Celebrations around the contributions of student research continue on Friday and Saturday at Nipissing, with the Undergraduate Research Conference.
It’s the 19th annual event.
Students are provided an opportunity to present a research project they are working on while engaging in scholarly debate amongst each other.
Dr. Stephen Connor is the conference’s keynote speaker.
He’s an Associate Professor of History at Nipissing and co-founder and Associate Director of the Centre for the Study of War, Atrocity, and Genocide.
The conference features panel discussions, fine art installations, poetry and spoken word presentations, and more.
