NNDSB Education Director retires

NNDSB Education Director retires

By Richard Coffin

The Near North District School Board confirms Education Director Craig Myles has retired.

In an organizational structure announcement, officials say Myles joined the board in 2014 as Superintendent of Student Success and was appointed Education Director in 2020.

He retires with more than three decades experience in education.

On Dec. 1, the Ontario government took over control of the Near North District School Board.

It was done after a ministry review confirmed deep-rooted dysfunction and mismanagement that Education Minister Paul Calandra says have eroded public confidence.

The minister is supervising the board until a supervisor is named.
