No charges were laid following a collision between a four-year-old child and a pickup truck at a campsite near Boland Lake in La Salle Township.
The OPP says officers responded to the reports around 6:00 p.m. last Friday (July 31) on a private campground access trail.
Police say the investigation determined the pickup truck had just begun moving from a parked position when it came into contact, with the child sustaining serious injuries. They were transported by air ambulance for medical treatment.

The OPP says a physician in the area was flagged down by a responding officers and assisted with the child’s care while preparations were made for transport.
Police say investigators found no evidence that alcohol, drugs, or criminal driving behaviour were factors in the incident. The driver remained at the scene, cooperated fully with investigators. No charges have been laid.
