Nominations Open for the Senior of the Year Award
Vic Fedeli, MPP for Nipissing announced that the Ontario government is accepting nominations for the 2026 Ontario Senior of the Year Award. This award recognizes residents aged 65+ who have enriched their communities through volunteerism and social contribution.
“Ontario is proud to recognize outstanding seniors for their efforts that enrich the social, cultural, and civic life here in Nipissing,” said MPP Vic Fedeli. “Seniors generously give their time, knowledge and expertise making our province the best place in this country to live and work. It is important to take the time to celebrate our older population and acknowledge their invaluable contributions.”
To be eligible the person you nominate (nominee) must be:
• at least 65 years of age
• a resident of Ontario
• a living person who has made their community a better place to live
• nominated by a municipality in Ontario.
Municipalities are invited submit nominations until April 15, 2026, for individuals who have made a lasting impact in fields like arts, education, or community service.
