NPSSTS offering strike-related subsidy program for impacted families
A subsidy program providing financial assistance to families who transported their children to school during the Alouette Bus Lines labour disruption is now available.
That from Nipissing-Parry Sound Student Transportation Services (NPSSTS), which also says the deadline to apply is Friday, May 29.
“The NPSSTS will endeavor to process payments as quickly as possible, recognizing that timelines may vary depending on the volume of applications received and the complexity of individual circumstances,” states a letter to parents. “Thank you for your patience and understanding throughout this service disruption.”
The two-month strike involving school bus drivers ended in late April.
