Oldham wins gold in Big Air
Canada won its second gold medal of the Winter Games in Italy on Monday, thanks to Parry Sound’s Megan Oldham.
The 24-year-old won the Freeski Big Air competition.
Oldham scored a combined 180.75 in her first two runs, and beat China’s Eileen Gu by less than two points to capture gold.
She’s a double medalist after earlier winning bronze in slopestyle.
Freestyle skier Mikael Kingsbury won Canada’s first gold on Sunday, topping the podium in men’s dual moguls.
The 33-year-old from Quebec earlier won silver in moguls.
Canada’s third gold would come late Tuesday morning women’s team pursuit speed skating.

Ivanie Blondin, Valerie Maltais and Isabelle Weidemann defeated the Netherlands in Final A to defend Canada’s gold won four years ago in Beijing.
