OPP investigating firearm related hunting incident in Kearney

Almaguin Highlands OPP are investigating a sudden death in Kearney that’s connected to a firearm-related hunting incident.

Police say at around 9 a.m. on Oct. 21, OPP, Parry Sound District EMS and the Kearney Fire Dept. responded to a medical call in a bush area near the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Club Trail D.

According to the OPP, a 71-yr-old from Greater Napanee was pronounced dead at the scene.

A police investigation into the sudden death is ongoing.
