Police Requesting Assistance in Threatening Incident

The North Bay Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance in relation to an incident involving a pedestrian and a pick-up truck at the corner of Trout Lake Road and Laurentian Avenue in North Bay.

On Thursday May 29th, at around 4:40 pm the victim was driving in his 2021 Dodge Ram orange pickup truck on Laurentian Avenue in North Bay. As he was stopped at Trout Lake Road, waiting for traffic to clear so he could turn right, he observed a male walk into the side of his truck near the rear passenger wheel area. After hitting the truck, the male then threw his drink at the truck.

When the victim got out to check on the male, the male approached him with a knife in his hand advising he was going to stab the victim. The victim stepped back, and observed the male run his knife along the entire driver’s side of the vehicle, causing damage. The suspect then left the area on foot, eastbound on Trout Lake Road.

Anyone who witnessed this incident, or has security camera footage or dash camera footage from the area around the time of the incident is asked to contact the North Bay Police Service at 705-497-5555 and ask to speak to Cst. Brodie Beard.

Those wishing to remain anonymous can contact Near North Crime Stoppers by phone at 1-800-222-8477 or online at www.nearnorthcrimestoppers.com
