Waterfront carousels opening this long weekend
Season 31 starts this weekend for the Heritage Railway and Carousel Company.
The two carousels will be open from 10 am to dusk, weather permitting, this Victoria Day long weekend (May 16-18).
The mini trains won’t be running.
“Due to the late Spring, we are behind in doing maintenance work on the track,” states a release. “By the end of this week, we will have replaced close to 400 railway ties. We will not be operating the trains. It is expected the trains be operating for the weekend of May 23-24.”
Officials add they be open on weekends until June 21, then will be open seven days a week through Labour Day.
