Province opens nominations for the Order of Ontario
By Brad Aubin
If you know someone whose career has made a major impact on the province, Canada and around the world, now’s your time to nominate them.
The province is now accepting nominations for its highest honour, the Order of Ontario.
Officials say it honours individuals from diverse backgrounds whose exceptional contributions have shaped our communities and the province. Nominations are being accepted until the end of March.
MPP Vic Fedeli says The Order of Ontario is awarded to an Ontarian who has shown an extraordinary level of excellence and achievement in their field, and whose contributions continue to shape the province’s history and place in Canada.
To be eligible the person you nominate must be a long-term of former resident of Ontario, and whose career, in any field, has had an impact.
An advisory council will then review and evaluate all nominations. To nominate someone, click here.
