Rahnment North Bay Panthers Host Sudbury Shamrocks

It was a successful weekend at the sandlot for the Rahnment North Bay Panthers 9U baseball team. They played host to the Sudubry Shamrocks 9U squad and picked up the win in all four games.

The weekend started with an 18-7 win for the home side. Michael Patreau had the big hit in the game with a three-run home run in the bottom of the third, while Jacob Wrixon went 4-4 at the plate. Jason Pickles-Sookram was named player of the game for his excellent work on defence getting several key outs throughout the game.

In the second game, the Panthers offense kicked it up a notch leading to a 30-15 victory, led by Jude Martel hitting for the cycle. He hit a home run in the second inning, tripled in the third, doubled in the fifth and singled in the sixth. Mason Auger was named player of the game collecting multiple hits and driving in seven RBI in the high scoring affair.
On Sunday, Elijah McCann's 3-3 day at the plate paced the Panthers to an 18-12 win. He had a pair of RBI singles and a home run. Meanwhile Adrian Hosein was named player of the game with three hits, four RBI's and solid defence at shortstop, second base and behind the plate as the catcher.

The weekend wrapped with a very tightly contested 19-16 win for North Bay. The Panthers opened things up in the top of the fifth inning when Martel tripled to score two runs, while Ben Laframboise, Blaise Prytula, Kieran Vlach, McCann and Patreau all singled to knock in a run. Wrixon was named player of the game as he manned third base and made several strong throws across the diamond for some big outs throughout the game.

The Rahnmet North Bay Panthers 9U Baseball team is comprised of: Adrian Hosein, Ben Laframboise, Blaise Prytula, Dallas Monette-Taylor, Elijah McCann, Jacob Wrixon, Jason Pickles Sookram, Jude Martel, Kieran Vlach, Mason Auger, Michael Patreau and William Leggett.

Next up, the Panthers begin their NBBA schedule with games at Kelly Field in North Bay. Their next tournament takes place On July 5-6 in Etobicoke.
