Rahnmet North Bay Panthers 9U baseball squad in Sinclair Yards, Sault Ste. Marie
The Rahnmet North Bay Panthers 9U baseball squad ran into a tough U9 Soo Black Sox team in four exhibition games this past weekend at Sinclair Yards in Sault Ste. Marie.
The games provided a valuable learning experience for the North Bay side who, despite losing the first three games, held their heads high and competed to the very end all weekend. The Panthers kept battling and in the final game of the weekend, they lost a high-scoring back-and-forth affair by a score of 27-25. Down by 12 runs going into the bottom of the fifth, the Panthers stormed back to score 15 runs in their final three at-bats, in the closets game of the weekend.
Adrian Hosein, Elijah McCann, Kieran Vlach and William Leggett all won player of the game awards during the four game series.
The Rahnmet North Bay Panthers 9U Baseball team is comprised of: Adrien Hosein, Ben Laframboise, Blaise Prytula, Dallas Monette-Taylor, Elijah McCann, Jacob Wrixon, Jason Pickles Sookram, Jude Martel, Kieran Vlach, Mason Auger, Michael Patreau and William Leggett.
Next up, the Panthers host the Northern Sandlot Tournament in North Bay, with all games taking place at Kelly Field. They will play the Muskoka Hornets on Friday at 4 p.m., followed by games against the Valley East Jr. Voyageurs and the Bradford Tigers on Saturday.
