Raimondo "Ray" Cappadocia

1931 ~ 2025 (age 94)
It is with broken hearts and tremendous sorrow that the family announces the peaceful passing of Raimondo “Raymond” Cappadocia, surrounded by his loving family. God called him home on a beautiful sunny October day to be reunited with his beloved wife Angela and his precious daughter Rosemary.
Raymond was very much loved and will be forever cherished and greatly missed by his loving family. He was the beloved husband, of 65 years of the late Angela Cappadocia and the loving father to the late Rosemary Cappadocia, and loving father and father-in-law to Nancy and Michael Leszczak. He was the loving and cherished grandfather to Mitchell Leszczak (Sarah) and Adam Leszczak.
He will be fondly remembered and missed by his brother Elfio Cappadocia (late Santa) and by his sister-in-law Palmira Pincivero (late Egidio).
Raymond was predeceased by his loving parents Virginia and Fernando Cappadocia.
He was an adored uncle and will be missed by his nieces and nephews; Mary Lou Cappadocia, Peter Cappadocia, Dino Pincivero (Angela), James Pincivero (Kristin) and Jerry Pincivero (Tanya) and their families.
Raymond was born April 28, 1931 in Italy. He came to Canada at a young age and later, after marrying Angela back home, they made a loving home with their daughters in North Bay, reuniting with many family members. He was truly a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
Raymond had a rewarding career at Ontario Northland Railway, retiring in 1990 after 35 years in the Car Department. He enjoyed his work and the many friendships he made there.
At retirement, Raymond enjoyed all time spent with his family, especially being a very proud Nonno to his treasured grandsons. He was present for every celebration and milestone, with much joy and happiness in his heart. His family was truly his greatest gift and he will forever be in our hearts.
Raymond had an easy sense of humour, a generous and caring heart and an abundance of love. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. He will be tremendously missed and fondly remembered by his family, relatives and friends.
The family will receive visitors at Holy Name of Jesus Parish (North Bay) on Tuesday October 21, 2025 between the hours of 12:30 pm and 1:30 pm. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30 pm.
