Seymour Street Reconstruction Resumes
The City of North Bay is advising residents that the Seymour Street Reconstruction Project has resumed.
The project, which began in August 2025, will continue through the 2026 construction season as crews return to complete remaining road, infrastructure, and intersection improvements.
Work has begun on trench blasting and installation of a new watermain along Wallace Road, from Seymour Street to east of Progress Road.
Additional work will include the widening of Seymour Street to three lanes, the redesign of the Seymour Street/Commerce Crescent/Venture Crescent intersection, the addition of pedestrian and cyclist infrastructure, the construction of a retaining wall, and drainage improvements.
During construction, Seymour Street will be reduced to one lane in each direction, and a portion of Wallace Road will be closed to vehicles.
The project is expected to be complete in November.
