SMITH, ESTELLE

Estelle Smith, 79, of Mattawa, On, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2026 at the Mattawa General Hospital.Born in Mattawa in 1946.

She moved away in her late teens to the Toronto area then Ajax and Whitby. She and her husband returned to Mattawa in 1989 as owner/operators of Two Rivers Motel. She finally retired from the motel business after over 30 years and settled in a nice little home in the valley in Mattawa.She is survived by her siblings, Adelard (Butch) Belanger, Evelyn Coburn (Myron),Pauline Leipert (Brian), Bernice Belanger, Laurel Atchison (Richard)Niece's and nephews, Danny, Albert, Patrick, Holly, Kyle (predeceased), Cory, Dawn, Melissa, Blue, Chad, Heidi, Jason, Tammy, MaryJane, Ashley and Sadie.Predeceased by her parents Albert (Nishie) Belanger and Flore Doucette.Husband Ken Smith. Siblings Peter Belanger, Ed (Chiga) Belanger and Louise Belanger.

As per Estelle's wishes there will not be any services.In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to the heart and stroke foundation or Canadian cancer society. Arrangements entrusted to Martyn Funeral Home.
