Snow squalls likely today
Environment Canada has issued a Yellow Watch - Snow Squalls
Brief periods of very poor visibility in bursts of heavy snow.
Northwest winds gusting to 60 to 70 km/h giving blowing snow this afternoon and early evening.
Additional information:
Snow squalls associated with a sharp southeastward-moving Arctic cold front may affect portions of northeastern and central Ontario today. Brief periods of very poor visibility in heavy snow and blowing snow may occur, followed by rapidly falling temperatures.
Due to the brief nature of the snow squalls, heavy snowfall accumulations are not expected. Very poor visibility and hazardous travel conditions will be the primary hazards.
Visibility may be suddenly reduced to near zero at times.
Prepare for the possibility of quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions.
