Supporting the Santa Fund on Jet FM
The Monaghan and Friends North Bay Santa Fund morning on 106.3 Jet FM is raising funds and awareness for the Santa Fund on Friday.
Morning host Mike Monaghan is broadcasting the 19th annual festive and fundraising radio event from 6 am – 10 am.
Along with Christmas music on the radio, local police and firefighters will be singing, there’s a cupcake auction, and more.
The goal for the Santa Fund this year is $175,000.
Officials will be delivering over 400 baskets of groceries and over 1,500 toys to families and children in North Bay.
Applications from families in need are being accepted through Friday, Dec. 5 at Low Income People Involvement on Main East.
For those looking for volunteer opportunities, the packing of the baskets takes place on Dec. 22 at Canadore’s Commerce Court Campus, with delivery the next day.
This year marks the 78th anniversary of the North Bay Santa Fund.
