Suspected drugs seized after OPP stop vehicle for speeding

Two Southern Ontario residents are facing drug trafficking charges after a traffic stop on Highway 11 in Powassan on the weekend.

Ontario Provincial Police officers stopped a vehicle for speeding at about 5 pm on Saturday.

The OPP says a search resulted suspected cocaine, oxycodone tablets, cannabis, a digital scale, cell phones, and approximately $2,000 in Canadian money being seized.

Both accused were released with court appearances on Jan. 13 in North Bay.
