The Thunder Valley Truck Rodeo takes place Friday through Sunday.

Jess Knowlton, event coordinator, says the uphill semi races are the main draw.

“Approximately 104 race trucks will be hitting the track to try and get their points to win the grand prize at the end of the season,” she says.

Knowlton says there’s three days of family fun.

“We have over 40 vendors coming in, some really great food options as well. We’ve got an extremely impressive Show and Shine run by the ‘King of Bling‘. He’s expecting 300 transport trucks, dripping with chrome.”

There’s also live music, featuring several area bands, every night.

Knowlton says some items to bring with you include a lawn chair, ear plugs if sensitive to loud noises, cash and good energy.
