It is with heartfelt sadness that the family announces her peaceful passing at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Monday July 7, 2025 with her loving family by her side.
Cecelia was the loving mother to Tim Walker (Katie), Cathy Taylor (Lee), Laurie Mantha (Brian) and Tracey Knight (Trevor).
Grandma/Nana to Michael, Samantha, Christina, Tanya, Shane, Jenna and Brody. Great-grandmother to Dakota, Devyn, Spencer, Christopher, Aisley, Layla and great-great grandmother to Berry.
She is survived by her siblings Armand Decaire (Miriam) and Theresa Solomon (Ken) and was predeceased by her loving husband Mervyn St. Amand and her siblings Emmett, Christine and Diane.
Cecelia was the proud and successful owner of Celia’s Flowers in North Bay, for over 25 years. Creative, spirited, and deeply passionate about her work, Cecilia had a remarkable gift for bringing joy through flowers. Her artistry extended beyond her shop—her garden was her sanctuary, a vibrant testament to her love of nature. She was never afraid to get dirt under her nails and took great pride in every bloom she nurtured.
During the winters, she found joy and warmth in Florida, quickly becoming a well-known and well-loved snowbird and Happy Hour Hostess. A true adventurer at heart, she lived life to the fullest—traveling widely, embracing new experiences, and collecting memories wherever she went.
Cecelia will be remembered not only for her talent and business legacy but for her zest for life, kind heart, and the beauty she brought to the world, one flower at a time.
She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
The family wishes to express deep gratitude to the staff of C1 at the North Bay Regional Health Centre for going above and beyond in the care they provided to Cecelia.
Family will be receiving friends at Hillside Funeral Services, 362 Airport Road, North Bay, on Friday July 11 between 6 until 8 pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated at the St. Alphonsus Liguri Church in Callander on Saturday July 12 at 10:30 am. Please feel free to wear what makes you happy.
