Wayne Daniel Hodgins

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Wayne Daniel Hodgins on August 2, 2025, at the age of 69. After bravely facing a chronic illness for the past three years, which led to further health complications, he passed away peacefully in hospital, surrounded by the love of his family.

 Wayne was a devoted husband, just one month shy of celebrating his 50th wedding anniversary with his beloved wife, Christine Hodgins. He leaves behind his daughter Brenna and two sons, Jason and Christopher. His three grandchildren, Adrienne, Carly, and Jason, and his great grandchildren.

 A lifelong hockey enthusiast, Wayne shared his love of the game through coaching which brought him a tremendous amount of joy. He also had a soft spot for animals, his loyal dog Bentley held a special place in his heart and brought him much comfort.

 His authenticity and unwavering honesty were hallmarks of who he was. Stubborn at times and never one to sugarcoat his words, he was always true to himself and spoke his mind — a quality many came to respect and admire.

 Above all, Wayne was a man of deep love for his family. His sense of humour, hard-working nature, and generosity will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
