Weapons Call Leads to Arrest and Seizure in Cassells Street Area
The North Bay Police Service (NBPS) has arrested a North Bay man after responding to a weapons-related call in the Cassells Street area, where an individual in breach of court orders was taken into custody and officers seized weapons, ammunition, and suspected crystal methamphetamine.

On April 26 at approximately 1:00 p.m., police responded to a report of a man in possession of a knife in the 1000 block of Cassells Street. The accused, who was bound by a Firearms Prohibition Order and a Probation Order, was located and arrested without incident. A subsequent search resulted in the seizure of additional edged weapons, ammunition, and a quantity of suspected crystal methamphetamine.
The accused, Haedyn Fry, 25-year-old, male, of, North Bay, has been charged with:
- Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
- Disguise with Intent
- Possession of a Schedule I substance (Methamphetamine)
- Possession of Firearm or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order
“The quick and professional response by patrol members brought the situation under control, preventing escalation or further risk to public safety,” said Acting Inspector Jason Long.
The accused was arrested and held in custody pending a bail hearing.
